# Good Vibrations...
This is Patsy Wynne inviting you to share the next hour or so with me... enjoying my choice of music... which sometimes surprises me... and always delights... HELLO to whoever’s listening in hospital... and to those who may be listening online... WELCOME to you too!
Recently I got to thinking about my past hopes and dreams.. we all have dreams.. and mostly they remain just that… forgotten dreams! But sometimes… somehow… someone’s dreams do come true…
#1 I had a Dream… Susan Boyle
And hasn’t she done well? It may seem like magic… but it didn’t just happen like that for Susan Boyle… she had to put in a lot of hard work and suffered many disappointments before her dream came true.
So how are your dreams? And what are you doing to make them come true? I’ve written a series of sayings… and I hope you enjoy this selection…
GET FOCUSSED... KNOW WHAT YOU WANT
Do you know where you want to go? Or do you feel you’ve been drifting through life aimlessly like a leaf carried along by a stream? Maybe you lost direction and got stuck in a backwater.
Are you ready now for change? Do you begin to see the direction your life can take when you’re ready for it?
When you focus on what you REALLY want with your mind, body and spirit aligned in the right vibration, you can achieve anything!
#2 High Hopes… Sinatra
The Law of Attraction says that… we attract what the mind is focussed on… but the main point about that is in the word… Attr-ACTION… note the part about ACTION… nothing happens without some effort. Often people who gain fame and fortune have gone through years of living on the breadline for the sake of their art… their hopes and dreams. So for all those wonderful artists who starved in garrets and rarely got recognition in their own lifetime…
#3 Vincent… Don Mclean
Actually, we’re all Stars… it’s just that some stars shine more brightly than others… and some of the brightest stars burn out more quickly too… but leave in a blaze of glory. Here’s one of them now…
#4 Over The Rainbow… Judy Garland
I’m so inspired by talented artists… and I’ve dreamed of excelling in some creative way… singing… writing… or painting… but although I’ve dabbled over the years… bought all the art materials… paints, pastels, and all the various papers and canvasses… I haven’t achieved much. I need the discipline of a regular class to fire my imagination… the root of all creativity… something that often gets knocked out of us at an early age… sad but true…
#5 Imagination… Belouis Some
Imagination is simply having the ability to see something from a different perspective… and each individual’s perspective depends on their understanding through their own experience of life.. so naturally looking At ‘Art’ is a very subjective experience. And here’s another of my sayings that you may find interesting…
BE CREATIVE... FOLLOW THE RULES AND YOU COULD MISS ALL THE FUN
Once you know how the rules apply you can bend them or break them to your own advantage.
So you don’t have to worry about how it ought to be or what should or shouldn’t be done.
Free your imagination to visualize any and all possibilities. Experiment with pushing the boundaries.
Enjoy being inventive and do your own thing.
#6 Any Dream Will Do… Paul Jones
Ok… so you can dream and imagine the possibility that you could achieve something. The challenge is… to get out of that chair… move out of your comfort zone… and actually DO SOMETHING about it. this is another of my sayings… which I intend to put on a set of cards… when I get around to it… Oops!
DON’T PUT OFF TILL TOMORROW WHAT YOU CAN DO TODAY...
BECAUSE IF YOU ENJOY IT TODAY YOU CAN DO IT AGAIN TOMORROW
Whether it’s going for a walk, writing a letter, making a phone call or clearing out cupboards, saying sorry, giving a compliment or making a decision.
Take a deep breath, grasp the nettle, take a leap of faith or make that commitment.
Decide that whatever you are doing today you are going to enjoy it one way or another.
JUST DO IT!
#7 I could write a book… Vic Damone
It’s said that everyone has a book in them… or rather… each one of us has an interesting story… but how many of us get inspired to write. Mostly we dream… and procrastinate… letting our creativity fizzle out… and often it’s because we don’t believe we can do it… we think it’s not worth the effort… or maybe we’re afraid of failing and making a fool of ourselves. Is that it?
#8 Every Rose has it’s Thorn… Poison
So is failure the thorn that spoils our appreciation of the beauty of life? Maybe you think you’ve failed because of an unsuccessful marriage… or you’ve lost money or a business… and feel eaten up by recrimination… maybe you feel it was your fault… or you believe others let you down… If only I’d seen that coming… if only I’d not been so trusting… IF ONLY… you keep beating yourself up. Or maybe you have health problems and feel deeply disappointed with yourself… I know I did this year… when my knees gave way and I realised I’d brought it on myself… it was my own fault… being overweight… and not exercising enough. I’m working my way out of it now… and it’s hard work getting fit again!
Those of you who’ve heard my show before will know that I usually give an introduction to EFT... that’s Emotional Freedom Techniques… and the whole point of doing this is to FREE yourself of any emotions that still make you feel disturbed about yourself or anyone else.
So now I’d like you to think about any feelings that disturb you... any emotional feelings... of failure… recrimination… disappointment…blame… whatever you feel. Now rate that feeling on a scale of 0 to 10... 10 being the very worst feeling you can get. (Write down the number if you can... and name that feeling.)
Start by tapping the fleshy side of your hand... below the little finger... we call that the Karate Chop... and take a long deep breath. Keep tapping and say out loud... if you can..
Even though I’ve been feeling a failure…. I deeply and completely love myself anyway…
Even though I feel so disappointed… and let down… I love myself anyway... and I accept myself as I am… with all my failings…
Even though I’m feeling sick at heart…. because I can only blame myself… I’d like to blame others…
I forgive myself for having this feeling… it’s not just my fault… maybe it’s no-one’s fault…
Take another deep breath... and now we start tapping around the face..
1st point... right between the eyebrows... tap with 3-4 fingers... and say... this feeling of failure…
2nd point... at the side of the eye right on the corner... and say... I didn’t do the right thing…
3rd point... under the eye on the cheekbone... this disappointment…
4th point... right under the nose... I didn’t know how to play the game… and I lost…
5th point... in the cleft of the chin right under the lip... this sick feeling… I blew it…
6th point... collarbone... at the top of the chest... I’m a failure…
7th point... under arm… at the side of the ribs… maybe I’m not…
8th point… top of head... This feeling of failure… maybe it’s my fault… maybe it’s not… maybe I can learn from this… maybe I can let this failure go and start again…
KC…
This failure… maybe I can let it go…
This disappointment… maybe I can turn it around…
Why not just let it go… and get on with life…
All I have to do is move on… let those feelings go… they only drag me down… who needs it?
Take a long deep breath… and note now of how that feeling might have changed. Has the number gone up or down?
This a PROCESS and when you’re on your own you can explore any emotional issue and see what thoughts and memories come to you... maybe old grievances... what do they feel like? What’s the emotion? Acknowledge that feeling and say it out loud... while you continue tapping the same points around the head and on the hand. Take responsibility for you own health and if it gets too emotional just keep tapping and taking deep breaths. Or you could find an EFT practitioner to help you through the process.
You can repeat that sequence of EFT any time on your own… or while we play the next track… so just let go of all that dead weight…
#9 Give Peace a Chance… Plastic Ono Band
I have dreamed… of peace… both universally and personally… because its only when each of us finds our own peace that the world has any chance of genuine peace… it really is up to us to learn what works… how to compromise… how to love…
#10 When You’re Smiling… Louis Armstrong
The secret to a happy life is to ACCEPT who we are... with all our faults as well as all our good qualities. But we must also FORGIVE ourselves for what we know we’ve done wrong... all the times we’ve hurt someone... or forgotten to value others... or failed to appreciate what we have. There’s no point in beating ourselves up about it... because... most importantly... it’s important to love ourselves... to cultivate the ability to live in the vibration of LOVE... to love someone, not because they love you... but because you love yourself!
I know it’s not always easy to achieve that... because we get into the habit of blaming ourselves... or blaming others! And that just sends us into a downward spiral of negativity and depression.
So... I accept myself... as I am... and I love myself anyway. I forgive myself for whatever I’ve done in my life that’s resulted in hurting myself and others.
And does that feel good? The more I say that the better I feel about myself and everyone else...
